guess what I have?

While going to the grocery store this weekend, I was feeling uncomfortable. I was strapped in my car seat and was looking around. Mommy was sitting next to me - and my grandad 'abba' who came last week was sitting in front - while Baba was driving.

So I removed my diaper and gave it to Mommy. My Mommy and Daddy kept on laughing and found it very funny. I though it was fun to remove the diaper - without removing any other piece of clothing. Later my mommy found out that my pants were wet - and luckily she had got a backup for me.

Somtimes I sulk

yes.. thats what I do when I dont get what I want. These days the occurences are increasing. In the order of 10-30 times a day. I need to be given what I want in 5 - 10 secs.. else I sulk.

I sulk if I dont get Mummy's purse.
I sulk if daddy does not come with me.
I sulk if I dont get to talk on the phone within 10 secs.
I sulk if I dont get a the big bottle of water (that I like to spill on the floor)
...
I sulk if I am not given what I want.
etc etc.

How? I run away from Mummy or Daddy and throw myself on my bed or on the various carpets. Sometimes I get hurt when I do this - but then I am angry.

Late halloween report..

I forgot to tell everyone about my halloween activities.
First I went to the halloween party at ICC. This was along with the regular parent-child class. Was fun - I was dressed as a fairy. I loved granting wishes.

On the real halloween day, I dressed up as a fairy again and went in the neighborhood doing 'trick or treat'. In reality, I stayed close to my parents - went to houses and got some candy. After going to two houses - I got the drill: go near the entrance - show my pumpkin bag - and then the nice folks drop some candy in my bag.

I also enjoyed distributing candy. Lots and lots of animals/creatures/princesses/heros came to our house saying 'trick or treat' and I gave candy to many of them. I did not like the once that looked dangerous and would cling on to daddy/mommy when they came.

Fun stuff - I think we should have halloween more times.

up up...

That is what I say when I want to go up. Either it means that I want to be held or that I want to climb up. In the past week I have been having fun climbing. First, I could get on Mummy and Baba's bed. I used to try to get up - and finally I was able to. The trick here is to get a good grip on the bed sheets.

The second "up" startled mommy. I am now able to climb up into my crib. Yes, the crib that I no longer sleep in. But its a good climbing exercise. However, the final step in this process seems to give mommy and baba a little tension - as I roll into the crib head down.

I am not hunting for more mountains.

stories

These days I love to hear stories. Baba tells me stories before sleeping. The one I love the most is about 'tai'. 'tai' in Marathi refers to "elder sister". Actually the story is titled "If you give a mouse a cookie" but somwhere in the story, the mouse draws a family picture and baba refers to the little girl in the story as 'tai mouse'. There is a 'dada mouse' also ('dada' = elder brother) but I like to call this the 'tai' story.
After that we read the 'hop hop' story. 'hop hop' stands for monkey. Whats the relation.. I dont know. Actually this story is about a peddler selling caps..but the star of the story are the set of 'hop hop'
I dont get to read the story about Minnie Mouse these day. Mommy and Baba are not happy as I tore the book cover. It made such a nice sound when I tore it.

Long weekend

The weekend is over and I was sick but had fun as well.
Oct 14, Friday was mommy and baba's aniversary. Baba took the day off to play with me. We went to a nice restaurant called Brigettes. I did not like it at all - There was no high chair offered. They did no offer me any toys - or any crayons. I stuck to Baba all the time - and would not let him eat either. I think the cold was bothering me. The food looked pretty but I was in no mood to eat it.
Evening was nice. My friends - Saee, Roma tai, Soam, Tanvi and Anika came over. Saee was not well so she was with her daddy all the time. Soam was sleepy. We had fun - tore lots of paper, ran around the house and stayed awake till 1am.

Saturday morning : Got up and went to a Shrey and Rishi's house warming party. Met lot of friends including Parth, Swetlana etc. was fun running around.

Sunday : baba got mummy a ring. Mummy was excited.. I dont know why. We had lunch in a restaurant Saffron Indian Bistro. I surprised everyone by sitting in my high chair for all the time. Things I liked there: bhaji, nan and noodles. I ate a lot of noodles - I really like to slurp the noodles. Its fun.

That was a long weekend - full of fun. Except for the cold that has been bothering me. Mummy-baba try to give me this medicine that I dont like - I fight will all my power against it. I like tylenol. I am ready to take tylenol anytime. Why dont they give me tylenol instead?

potty training (attempt 1)

Yesterday, mommy attempted to potty train me. Couple of days back we got lots of pants for me. Bye bye diapers - I like the pants.
At 8 pm she took off my diaper and put on a training pant. I think it was cold and I did su-su in 5 minutes. Lucky me, I got a different chaddi immediately. I was still feeling cold - and I did su-su again in 10 minutes. Mummy was trying to tell me to do su-su in the potty - but I dont get it. Why do I need to go anywhere to do su-su ? By 8.45 mommy had changed my diapers 3 times - wiped the floor and cleaned the bench I sit on 3 times. I think she gave up at 8.45 and made me wear the diaper.
This was the first attempt for potty training.. looks like mommy and daddy need to do some reading on how it has to be done. I am back to wearing diapers.

drinking water..

I love to drink water from a glass. Mummy and Daddy have got me nice colorful glasses(of plastic) that I love to drink water from them. I dont care for fruit juice. Sometimes, they dont want me to drink with my own hands - but then I tell them (by crying) that its my glass and I want to hold it. But the thing I like the most is cleaning up when the water spills. It happens most of the times, that some water spills on the floor. I dont know why, but when I turn the glass up side down, the water spills. I love to then get the kitchen towel and clean up. By this time mommy and daddy are normally upset. But cleaning is so much fun.

beach and pumpkins

Last weekend we visited half moon bay state beach. I had a lot of fun there.
Mummy and Baba would not allow me to play in the water for a long time as they thought that the water was cold. I made shapes in the sand and played with it. I really wanted to catch a bird but they kept walking or flying away from me.

After lunch, we visited a pumpkin patch called "lemos farm". They had a petting zoo with sheep. I gave the sheep something to eat but then they started coming too close to me. I did not like that.
The farm was fun. I liked touching and playing with the pumpkins. The train ride was ok.

Going for a walk

that is, mummy and baba going for a walk. These days I love to sit in the stroller. Earlier I did not have patience to sit in the stoller. Walking for a bit or if mummy/daddy carried me was more fun. But these couple of days, I prefer the stoller.

I sometimes sit in the stroller and do 'takee' of things. 'takee' means throwing things. I will do 'takee' when I am in the car also. Its is one of my favourite time pass in the car. Mummy will give me something - then I will do 'takee'. After doing 'takee' I will cry and scream for it and create a big 'hungama'. Then Mummy has to bend, stretch and struggle for it and get it for me.. and then I do 'takee' with it again. This I do till Mummy is fed up.

doctor

Today after a long time it was Mommy's turn to be checked at the doctor's office. I got bored there. Mommy and Daddy were both tense - I dont know why. But I am never tense when they take me to the doc. If I get scared - I scream, shout, cry and then hold on to mommy or daddy. Its much better that way. It better to get the emotions out.

Anyway, the visit took up all morning. Mommy and Daddy were not happy when we came back. I have no idea why. But later in the afternoon, Mommy got a phone call and things changed. She was happy.

I have no idea whats happening.

Happy Birthday Mommy

Today - 12 Sept - is my Mommy's birthday. I got Mommy a nice big birthday card.
Mommy was also happy.

late night

Yesterday night I woke up and I wanted to play. I held daddy's hand and took him to the door. But Daddy did not want to go out. Daddy kept telling me that I should sleep. But I wanted to play.
I finally gave up after trying to convince him by crying at the top of my voice after 1 hour.

It was almost 4 AM when I finally slept.

New goggles

I love shops. I love running between the aisles and looking for treasures in the shop.

Today we were in the Great Mall in milpitas and visited GAP. It was fun and I found a pair of googles. My size 'chech' (cheech=chasma=googles) so I wore them.

Apparently daddy had to pay for them, but I would not give them to anybody - afterall I found them. Only after being sure that I could take them home, I allowed Mommy to take them off. By that time we were sitting in the car and it was quite dark outside. I will tell Daddy to take a picture of me with my cheech.

cough cough...

Looks like I have a cough.

Mummy and daddy want me to drink a medicine - but it tastes yucky. They tried to force me to take the medicine. They managed to put it in my mouth - but I spit it out. Some of the medicine landed on mummy's dress and she was not happy.
"No one can force me."

Yesterday we visited the fremont temple for Ganesh puja. I got bored there as I had to
stay quiet in one place.

jumping off the bed

Tonight I did not sleep well. I kept kicking and scratching mummy and daddy.

Middle of night I decided to move up a bit. But I was already on top of mummy's head.. and suddenly landed on the floor. It hurt.

I am feeling a lot better today. Yesterday we went to Costco and I ran around there. I like
to visit the cold section there.

yummy cream

Today I found a tube of Desitin cream. I have been looking for it for so many days. (Desitin is a
diaper rash cream). Its always hidden from me. Mummy was having lunch and so I had the cream all for myself. I put the cream on my face and think I ate a bit too.

But then mummy came and cleaned it up. She was very upset. I wonder why?

still not well

This is the 2nd day I am not well.
I think my stomach is upset. Daddy complained that my poop was very stinky.

I got up early today. Around 7.30 and then slept again at 9am.

not well

I am not well. I have fever today. So mummy and daddy did not take me out. I took
my medicine and stuck to daddy all day.
